COMING SOON - MAMA CHIKS COOKERY SCHOOL

Starting soon cookery classes with cookery tutors coming in and holding classes as well as demonstrations in various cuisine such as Thai, Japenese, Italian, Indian, Edible gifts, French, Chocolate making, cake making, Carribean, South African, Traditional British, Pastry making, Vegetarian, cooking classes for men and students and Morrocan just to name a few! WEDNESDAY NIGHT IS CURRY NIGHT

Wednesday night between 6pm and 9pm is curry night at the Gillingham Swan
We are offering not only the more traditional Indian curries from the mild Korma to the rather less mild Madras but also the South African Cape Malay and a Caribbean fish curry too and the possibility of a Trinidad curry as well.
With so much choice we are sure to have a curry to suit you whatever your taste may be.

Food Safety Training

We are now offering Food Safety Training courses at the Gillingham Swan or in house if you so wish.

A Little Bit About Us

We are a husband and wife team (Sharon and Russ) who are both passionate about good food and felt that we should bring some of the tastes of the varied dishes from the Rainbow nation, to people in the UK, as well as other Southern Africans who miss their favourite dishes from back home. Sharon was born and raised in Southern Africa and has a passion and love of food. She is very familiar with the ranges of typical dishes from that part of the world.
Our brand new menu will reflect this, bringing together both the very best of British and South African cuisine.
Russ has many years experience in events and outside catering, holds a personal licence and is well versed with the licence trade.
Our vast experience of working within hospitality,has given us a real appreciation of good food and service.

Accommodation

We have 14 rooms here at The Gillingham Swan including two honeymoon suites with a four poster bed and spa bath.
All our rooms are finished to the highest of standards with en-suite bathrooms and include tea and coffee making facilities.

Restaurant

With a selection of Southern African and Traditional British Dishes on offer we are confident there is something for everyone, whatever their tastes.
We offer game steaks ranging from Springbok, Impala, Eland, Kudu,Ostrich, Crocodile and many more. Our steaks are tender and derived from grass fed game,thus giving them a wonderful and distinctive wholesome flavour.
Please note we do not serve food on a Sunday evening
